Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Heroes are born!

Your communicator goes off, a message on-screen:

Congratulations [Applicant Name] .

Your test scores and general aptitude have elevated you above most other applicants nation-wide.

You have been chosen to join the final phase of the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate agent training program.

Report to your pre-assigned training facility by 0800 tomorrow morning.

Will this be on the test?
Octopus space pirates from space!

Our heroes:

Justin Thyme AKA Excel, the speedster.
Hadrien Castling AKA Vermillion, telekinetic (munchkin).
John Smith AKA Gateway, the teleporter.
Chris’s guy that has no name yet, ummm… what does Chris’s guy do?

The heroes show up to the S.H.I.E.L.D. training facility at 0800 as instructed.
They are greeted by Agent Phil Coulson and taken to a sub-level training room where the tests will begin.

A quick warm-up fight against some robots later and the heroes are ready to play a game of “keep away”.

Excel and Gateway are teamed up (by sheer luck) against the other team.
It doesn’t take long for the team comprised of the 2 heroes that can move to any point in the training room to completely control the situation.

Coulson then takes the heroes into a room separately and asks each a question geared around each of their profiles.

They’re then given opportunities to rest up.
Unfortunately, their rest is cut short when an alarm goes of. Red Hulk is rampaging in New York. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are sent out to deal with it.

A little bit of time later, an earthquake shakes the building and going outside the heroes see that a dome has surrounded the city. A pirate ship descends from the sky and the heroes find out that the city is now being held hostage by Cap’n Krak’n.

They make their way to the ship and fight with the Cap’n.
Eventually the Cap’n stops the fight and informs them that they are in fact in space and that if he presses the button on a device he has in his hands it would contract the forcefield surrounding the city killing thousands of people.

The heroes attack the Cap’n disregarding all the lives that they’re putting in danger. They don’t manage to stop the Cap’n as he hits the button.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Obi Wan feels a great disturbance in the Force, as if thousands of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

The heroes eventually succeed in defeating Cap’n Kraken, but at what cost?

It’s at that time that they hear a voice “Pause Simulation”.

Turns out they never left the training room after all.
